Jeff Gordon, Chief Executive Officer, and co-founder of IDM Companies is a visionary entrepreneur, real estate developer, and investor. A 1983 graduate of UCLA, he gained experience as a market researcher and investment real estate broker, focused on the sale of larger multifamily and retail properties in Southern California. Always interested in development, Jeff left brokerage to lead an internal sales team at a merchant focused, national multifamily developer, where he successfully transacted sales across the country. 

In the early 1990’s, Jeff relocated his family to southwest Washington, and began developing build to suit and speculative institutional quality, light industrial buildings. Focused on long term ownership, strategic investment relationships, and joint ventures, Jeff developed over 2.5 million square feet of top-tier industrial space in the Pacific Northwest. Among his noteworthy accomplishments is the Columbia Tech Center, a mixed-use master plan development of nearly 500 acres offering several million square feet of office, retail, and flex industrial space, together with nearly 2,000 multifamily apartments. In partnership with a Portland, Oregon based, long-term oriented developer and owner, Columbia Tech Center has evolved into the premier master planned business park in Southwest Washington. 

In 1993, Jeff partnered with a local Vancouver, Washington based home builder, to develop high quality garden style multifamily rental communities. Focused on long term ownership, the vertically integrated organization (IDM) leads entitlement efforts, pre-development planning, construction, property management, financing, and asset management. IDM’s portfolio of completed and under development apartment communities, span the Pacific Northwest and Phoenix Metropolitan Area.
